1968 Fender Coronado Bass II Wildwood Natural
SETUP & INSPECTED BY OUR TECH TEAM
All of our guitars come with a FREE professional setup tailored to your individual tuning and string gauge preferences, if available. Our setups always include action, intonation, trem angle, and truss rod adjustments. If needed, we smooth out fret edges, address any nut or bridge shim issues, polish the frets, and condition the fingerboard. All work is completed by our experienced tech team who understand what today's players want from their instruments. If not otherwise requested our techs will setup each instrument to a comfortable medium/low action with minimal truss rod relief dependent on the instrument style. Please reach out after purchase if you have any specific requests about your setup.
INDIVIDUALLY PHOTOGRAPHED
After 15 years of innovation in our photography process, Ish Guitars has developed a way to get you the most accurate true-to-life color of every instrument we sell. We never embellish, oversaturate, or misrepresent our images, so that your buying experience can be as much like visiting our showroom as possible. Keep in mind that various computer screens can show colors a bit differently, so the color on your screen may not match the real thing perfectly no matter how hard we try. Also, unless otherwise noted, we individually list and photo every piece of gear that comes through our doors.

SPECS
Year: 1968
Weight: 6.8lbs
Case Details: Original Victoria Coronado Hardshell Case Marigold
Cosmetic Condition: Very Good condition. Plenty of checking, scratching, and dings throughout. Some wear through the finish on the back from buckle rash.
Tech Notes: Guitar, Hardware and Electronics were cleaned/tested and are functioning appropriately. Truss rod turns slightly stiff, but is functioning without issue. Fretboard was cleaned and frets polished. The frets have been leveled before in the past, but the frets appear to the best of our knowledge to be original to the bass. Minor fret wear in first few frets. Original nut. Electronic Pots appear to best of our knowledge to be original to the bass from the look of the solder joints/caps, however due to the irregular pot codes this is somewhat hard to confirm (Pot codes R404- 1 Meg - BD6707). Original Fender Tailpiece 072389 - 4. Original Fender Bridge 085396. Electronics are scratch/noise free. Tuners are original and functioning appropriately. Slightly stiff, but turn smooth. There is a small "hitch" you can feel on the D string tuner, however it has to impact on the stability/function of the tuner.
Setup with minimal neck relief and medium/low action this is a fantastic players bass that has plenty of life left ahead of it.
Many additional photos of the internals of this guitar are available upon request.
Mods or Repairs: Shim was added to neck pocket to address neck hump/ramp. Frets from 14+ needed leveling to help address the ramp issues. There is still some slight fretbuzz evident on the A/D strings around frets 15+. The original soft tape on the underside of the pickup rings had degraded with time and was causing a light resonance on some notes. We replaced this tape and solved the issue.
