1970 0-18 Martin Project Guitar
TRADES - LAYAWAY - 0% FINANCING
Weight: 3.8 lbs
Case: Case
Year: 1970
Cosmetic Condition: Poor, please see tech notes below.
This is a project guitar/tech special. The top is badly bellied, warped, cracked in multiple places and delaminating. Two areas around the side are cracked and the bridge is lifting. Someone tried to screw the bridge on - the bracing may be loose but I do not hear or see that occurring. Tuners were replaced and someone did not fill any of the old holes. All things considered, the neck relief is ideal at about .005" and action height is a bit high at 9/64th action at the low string and 6/64th at the high string (measured at the 12th). I would think if the top was corrected, flattened and a new bridge was installed it may not need a neck reset, but it's hard to tell given the current condition. Somehow strings are on and tensioned, it is technically playable as is.
