Cosmetic Condition: Very good condition with a good amount of play/wear and mojo. There are an assortment of chips, checking, and scratching throughout. There are also cracks/chips in the neck pocket area. The back of the guitar has a bit of discoloration in the finish. Fretboard has some chip out on the side.
Mods or Repairs: Headstock Decal appears to have been replaced at some point in time. You can see the original finish under blacklight has been removed from the decal side of the headstock. Still has 3-Bolt neck and proper headstock shape indicating the original year.
Tech Notes: When we began the tech work on this Fender we noticed a discrepancy between serial numbers on the headstock of the guitar and the backplate. Upon further inspection using the backplate/dates on the pots we came to the conclusion that the body, neck and electronics are authentically Fender USA but the waterslide decal has been replaced and the headstock has been refinished. With that said this Fender is still a great medium/low action player with amazing vintage 60s/70s tone. Relief has been set minimally to ensure great playability across the entire fretboard.
