The small upgrades done to this Strat really help it bloom with the round, springy tone that Strats are known for. With a stunning finish and surprisingly great quality for a final year CBS guitar, this is Strat is a winner for any collection or working arsenal!
Weight: 8.3lbs
Finish: Original Metallic Blue-Green
Body Material: Alder
Body Details: 3-piece alder body, the finish has a bit of bucklerash on the back as well as a few dings in the finish near the upper arm contour. Overall in clean condition with some honest cosmetic flaws showing its age and history. There is one ding on the top of the belly contour as well as a small spot in the finish at the bottom of the guitar (about where it would sit on your leg while you play sitting down).
Neck Material: Maple
Fingerboard Material: Maple (same piece as neck)
Neck Profile: Medium C
Neck Thickness (IN): 1st fret: .846”, 12th fret: .856"
Fingerboard Radius: 9.5”
Nut Width: 1-11/16 in
Neck Details: Maple neck and fingerboard with black dot inlays. One piece neck with a skunk stripe, very clean with a little bit of play wear and use.
Fret wear: Some even play wear on the frets up and down the neck, small denting in the frets beginning under the G, B, and e strings on the first three frets.
High E string gauge: 10
Electronics: Original/period Fender electronics
Pickup Details: 1984 Fender pickups
Hardware: Original/period tuners and back plate, replaced bridge saddles to graphtech
Case Details: Original/period hard case
Modifications / Repairs: Replaced original saddles with Graphtech saddles
Cosmetic Condition: Very Good - A few light scratches scattered throughout the body, the back has some buckle rash and denting that does not break through the finish. The front has some light play wear and checking in the finish. There are some dents near and above the lower strap peg. Overall this guitar is very clean with a few spots, mostly on the back, that show the honest use and play this Strat has received in its time.
Tech Inspection Report: Plays well with low action and light to medium fret wear in the first three frets with light wear up the rest of the fretboard. Set up with 10-46 strings, some light string rattle is noticeable if you dig in; the string rattle does not translate through the amplifier.
