At its core, the 000-28 Shawn Mendes features solid East Indian rosewood back and sides paired with a solid spruce top, finished in antique toner and framed by bold herringbone trim. This classic tonewood combination produces a sound that's rich, balanced, and articulate, perfect for everything from delicate fingerpicking to full-bodied strumming. Golden Era scalloped X-bracing, as featured on the Modern Deluxe Series, ensures the top responds dynamically, projecting with warmth, clarity, and the kind of timeless Martin voice that has inspired generations.

Unique details make this model unmistakably Shawn's. The ebony fingerboard carries a custom mother-of-pearl eagle inlay, while the pyramid-style ebony bridge recalls the charm of vintage Martins. A distinct faux tortoise pickguard mirrors the one on Shawn's cherished 1920s guitar, and the slotted headstock with gold Waverly side-mount tuners adds vintage elegance with modern precision. Each guitar is strung with Martin Lifespan 2.0 light gauge strings to ensure tone that lasts.
