Truly one of the most unique Paul Reed Smith Private Stock guitars I have designed to date here at Ish Guitars! Starting with a 408 Semi Hollow was already a unique idea, but the fun is just getting started...

I'm Jesse Wilson, owner of Ish Guitars in Syracuse, NY. I collaborated heavily with Private Stock Director Paul Miles to design and hand pick the woods and options for this guitar, with several never-before-seen options unique to this guitar, including:

1. 'Fire Orange Candy' paint inside the F hole 

2. Painted knobs and switch tip to match the inside of the F hole

3. Acrylic backplates

4. Special inlay and headstock bird

BODY:

Yes you saw correctly - we didn't fill the holes in the Poplar Burl top so its raw as ever. There are even holes that you can see right through the binding! Topped off with a special color "Triple Faded Indigo", I had a crazy idea to paint inside the F hole with its complimentary color (Fire Orange Candy) inspired by Syracuse University's logo (go Orange!) which Paul and his team pulled off flawlessly, even matching the switch tip and knobs!

NECK:

No expense spared here, check out this insane quilted maple fretboard! Paul actually ripped a Private Stock quality quilt top into 4 sections and used one to make this fretboard so its absolutely KILLER. The inlay was made to look like birds flying through angry storm clouds, with this unique headstock bird using Paua Abalone to accent the inner wings and Gold MOP on the head and talons - incredible detail you only see on a PRS.

TONE:

This guitar is no slouch in the tone department. With the 1 piece flamed mahogany neck and body and incredible 408 pickups, you get a 22 fret guitar thats fat and warm but still provides tons of punch and clarity. I'm not just saying this - this is one of my favorite sounding Private Stock builds we have had to date.
