PRS Private Stock Custom 24 Semi-Hollow Multiscale Sub-Zero Glow #9999

DESCRIPTION

Way back in 2017, I (Jesse Wilson, Founder and CEO of Ish Guitars) had this crazy idea to make a 6 string multi-scale PRS. Why? Paul's founding design concept for the Custom 24 was a "best of both worlds" guitar, that combined the best qualities of a Strat and a Les Paul into one versatile instrument, while being higher quality than both. 

The way he did that was by using a 25" scale length - a LP is 24.75", a Strat is 25.5" - so he landed somewhere in the middle (most people don't realize how much scale length affects tone). So I simply wanted to embrace Paul's original design, and harness the qualities of multi-scale guitars (which are usually made for extreme tunings) to bring it into the future. Our Ish-exclusive Multiscales use a 25.5" scale length on the bass side (giving you the clear Strat-like notes when playing in first position) and 24.75" scale on the treble side (giving you the lower tension for bends and such when soloing thats so great on a LP).

It was a tough pitch to Mr. Paul Reed Smith, but eventually he agreed to my crazy plan and over the years we have built 10 extremely special guitars in the run. 

Now, PRS is ready to wind-down the Multi-scale production - but we built one last instrument, the 11th and final guitar of the run. 

Conveniently, this was also before we crossed into the 5-digit serial range of Private Stock. We are into the 12,000's now - but this project has taken a long time as it was so complex to produce. 

With that story now told, and my deepest gratitute to Paul Smith and Paul Miles for taking a 20-something year old kid seriously and making my dreams come true: We are honored to present to you Private Stock #9999 - the last of the 4 digit serial numbers, and the last Multiscale PRS... forever.
