Case Details: Non original Gigbag (Chicago Music Exchange) 

Cosmetic Condition:  Good condition with plenty of wear, scratches, and chips throughout.  Small neck pocket crack as well.  

Tech Notes: Great players vintage bass that has had some modifications/work done in the past but plenty of life ahead of it in the future. Bass, Hardware, and Electronics were cleaned/tested and are functioning appropriately. Truss rod is working and smooth to turn. Original tuners are in great shape, slightly tight to turn but not much effort required. There is a small "hitch" you will feel in a few of them but has no impact on the stability/functionality of the tuners. Setup with minimal neck relief and comfortable medium/low action. Great player throughout the entire neck with little to no fret buzz evident. Pots appear to the best of our knowledge original to the bass and match the appropriate year of the bass on markings. It's hard to see if/any markings are present on the neck pocket of the body, however everything about the instrument appears to be the original 1966 body.  

Mods or Repairs: Light warping/damage to the pick guard. We applied some light double sided tape to help hold down the ends by the horn which can have the tendency to lift up slightly from the metal sheet underneath. Previous owner replaced original pickups with unbranded P Bass pickups. Output jack replaced by previous owner. Ashtray bridge cover, Pickup cover, and original finger rest are all missing. Original Nut was replaced at some point in the past, as well as appearing to having been re-fretted in the past. There is a small ramp/lift at the higher frets where the neck meets the body which required some light leveling/re-crowning to compensate. Fretboard was cleaned, all frets re-crowned and polished. Original owner had cut out a small route for the pickup leads for some reason, we fed the wires back through the original hole.
