In short, this guitar is for the thoroughly modern guitarist willing to push the sonic limits of what the guitar can produce while the having the flexibility to access great classic sounds.
The wood combination of the Standard model was thoughtfully selected for the best possible high-gain distortion sounds as well as versatility. Featuring solid American Basswood, the body delivers a full and rich midrange with a defined and punchy low-end. The Quartersawn Maple neck adds tightness and articulation while the new Richlite fretboard contributes sparkle as well as an exceptionally smooth playing surface. The .strandberg* OEM humbuckers provide high output with a high-midrange emphasis for superb overdrive and distortion sounds and can also be dialed down with the volume pot for great classic rock and spanky clean single-coil sounds for pop/funk applications.
