The ST-45 marks several firsts for Swart Amps. It represents their inaugural 45-watt amplifier dedicated to maximizing the potential of the 6L6 power tube. This model introduces their initial production of an 'easy set' Fixed Bias system, crucial for extracting optimal performance from this circuit. Departing from their usual approach, it features separate bass and treble controls instead of a simple tone cut, allowing for more precise adjustment of frequencies. Additionally, a 3-way EQ switch facilitates further customization of the amp's response, output, and compatibility with different guitars.

Most notably, the ST-45 delivers exceptional clean tones even at higher volumes, characterized by a remarkable sweetness and depth without any hint of harshness. Maintaining transparency and openness becomes increasingly challenging as power increases, but Michael has achieved this balance admirably with this model.
