This Used Fodera Emperor Standard 5 is exactly how you would expect it. Gorgeous, fast playing, and incredibly well built.
If you're a bassist, you know Fodera. Victor Wooten's choice since 1983, Fodera is quite simply the biggest name in boutique basses.
The Emperor Standard 5 is just like a Custom Emperor, just built in batches with no available options and a bolt on neck. This is how Fodera offers the same amazing bass for $4000 less than a custom. This is still an expensive bass, but it might just be the value of the decade.
The top of this Emperor is flamed maple, with a punchy sounding Ash body. The neck is made from 3 pieces of Rock Maple with a Pau Ferro fretboard for a perfectly balanced definition and warmth.
The electronics are custom designed for Fodera by Mike Pope and handbuilt for extreme quality. The tonal variations are endless.
As a used Fodera, this bass show a few very small signs of wear. The truss rod hole has a few nicks in it from adjust the neck. Other than that, it is near mint with very little general wear.
Includes original hard case. Used Fodera's Emperor Standard 5's do not come up often (or any Fodera for that matter), so get this bass before its too late! (And save yourself a 6 month build time and over $1000 over a new build).
