1940s Harmony Cremona Archtop Natural
SETUP & INSPECTED BY OUR LUTHIER
Weight: 4.8lbs
Case: Hardshell Case (Not Original)
Year: 1940s - likely 1944
Cosmetic condition: Guitar is in very good condition. There are some scratches on the top of the guitar as well as some scraps on the binding along the sides of the guitar. There is also finish checking throughout the entire guitar and some deeper scratching on the sides.
Tech Notes: Great player with medium action with 11-50 D'Addario Flatwound strings. The relief is minimal, even with no truss rod. Frets are quite flat, but even, particularly up to the 12th fret. The dovetail joint is slightly loose, but the guitar seems to hold in equilibrium and seems stable under pressure and doesn't appear to be worse. A replacement tailpiece was installed at some point and appears to be done well, no hole cut for a strap button however. The pickguard appears all original. Tuners appear to have been replaced with Grover Deluxe tuners at some point, they look and function well. Carved top is written on the inside. Year dating is tough as it appears the date code has faded. However we think that we see s-44 written inside it, badly faded. Which would indicate 1944 in the spring time.
