1979 Fender Jazz Bass Red
Weight: 10.8 lbs
SPECS
Weight: 10.8 lbs
Case: Fender Hardshell Case
Year: 1978/1980
Condition: Very good with scratches/dings/playwear throughout.
Year: 1978/1980
Tech Notes: Bass, Hardware, and Electronics have been cleaned/tested and are functioning appropriately. Fretboard cleaned and Frets polished. Frets have been leveled in the past but have been properly crowned/polished with some life left in them. Setup with minimal neck relief and standard fender medium/low action. Plays great throughout the entire neck with consistent intonation.
Mods/Repairs/Issues: Full neck pocket shim added to adjust neck angle properly. Original micro tile had caused a ramp at the end of the neck over time. Frets required leveling to adjust for this from 12+.
Interestingly Pots date to 1978 and 1979. Serial number dates to 1978. And pickup markings date to 1980. Mixed/older parts weren't uncommon during this stretch of 1978-1980. Most likely was finally assembled/sold in 1980. Parts/wiring/evidence all look original to the bass.
Hardshell Case Straps don't hold the case open.

INDIVIDUALLY PHOTOGRAPHED
After 15 years of innovation in our photography process, Ish Guitars has developed a way to get you the most accurate true-to-life color of every instrument we sell. We never embellish, oversaturate, or misrepresent our images, so that your buying experience can be as much like visiting our showroom as possible. Keep in mind that various computer screens can show colors a bit differently, so the color on your screen may not match the real thing perfectly no matter how hard we try. Also, unless otherwise noted, we individually list and photo every piece of gear that comes through our doors.
