1989 PRS Custom 24 RARE Factory 2 Piece Stoptail 10 Top Sunburst
Incredibly rare factory 2-piece stoptail on an early PRS Custom 24. Its difficult to find any information on these guitars, but we spoke with our contacts at PRS and confirmed this was an option very briefly in this era. This guitar provides a unique list a desirable early PRS features including the sweet switch, bird inlays, and original pickups.
Weight: 7.3lbs
Case: Hardshell Case
Year: 1989
Cosmetic Condition: Very good. The guitar has a handful of relatively minor dings/scratches. There are a few chips on the headstock, two small indentations on the top, as well as a handful of indentations on the back and sides of the guitar. We have photographed all of these imperfections so see our listing photos for more details.

Tech Notes: Everything does appear to be original, bridge pickup impedance appears high, but after speaking with the head of electronic wiring at PRS they confirmed earlier pickups very often up to 20K. Not sure if the knobs we received with it are original, but we installed two matching gibson knobs, others that came with it are in the case. Plays very well, extremely small amount of fret wear, 10-46 strings.
Due to photo upload limits, we can't include every photo of the internals of this guitar or blacklight photos. They can be provided upon request, just send us a message!
