Reimagining the popular "Rex" parlor guitars of the ‘40s and ‘50s, the Jim Dandy Flat Top offers a stunning Roundup Burst finish, updating the look while retaining the classic Gretsch acoustic sound. Small-bodied but full of tone and “cut”, perfect for both picked and fingerstyle playing, the Jim Dandy Flat Top will be a welcome addition to your guitar collection.
The non-cutaway agathis body creates warm, round tone with a lively response due to the X-braced agathis top, while the top-load rosewood bridge with compensated synthetic bone saddle ensures even intonation along the length of the neck. Joining the body at the 12th fret, the 24"-scale "C"-shape nato neck bears a comfortable, smooth-playing rosewood fingerboard with vintage-style frets and pearloid dot inlays and contains a dual-action truss rod to compensate for temperature or humidity shifts. A 1950’s-style Gretsch 3x3 headstock holds vintage-style open-gear die-cast tuning machines and proudly bears a vintage Gretsch "T"-roof logo.
Nickel-plated hardware along with screened white body binding and rosette completes the Jim Dandy Flat Top parlor guitar's visual package. Ideal for songwriting, practice or even as a travel guitar, this little wonder is great for beginners or seasoned pros alike. Comfortable to play, and full of woody vintage tone with full-sounding bass, the Jim Dandy will inspire hours of playing joy.
