Only 50 made for North America!
This guitar is EXTREMELY difficult to photograph - the mirror in the chrome picked up our black screendrop, making the guitar attain a purple hue. It is not purple - it is straight hot silver chrome.
The Ibanez JS1CR30 Chrome Boy(JS30th) celebrates 30 years of association and collaboration between Joe Satriani and Ibanez. This guitar will be presented at NAMM Show 2018. It’s the 4th chrome guitar in the Ibanez JSseries. The first one was the JS2 back in 1992, but it has been quickly moved back from the market because of chrome issues. Then Joe released the JS10th in 1998 with 507 models worldwide, and the last one was the JS2PRM in 2006.
To honor the world-renowned Joe Satriani Signature Series , the Ibanez R&D team worked closely with Joe to develop a finish that was worthy of both Joe's approval, and of the Chrome Boy moniker. Each and every JS1 Chrome Boy will have passed stringent Ibanez quality control standards, however due to the unique nature of this striking finish, some minor imperfections may be expected, are considered normal.”
The JS30th anniversary features a Sustainiac pickup. Joe uses them since 2011 on tour and that will be the second JS on the market to feature this pickup after the JS2480 released in 2017.
