Ibanez AZ "Asterisk" JPCS14 50th Anniversary Electric Guitar 1 of 1
A limited 1 of 1 for Ibanez's 50th Anniversary, hand made in Japan!
This AZ features an ideal blend of classic character with strategic modern innovations, resulting in a timeless design that will only become more seasoned and improve with age. Built on the highly popular AZ platform, this guitar delves even further into the traditional end of the pool with a full list of features meant to inspire any vintage guitar enthusiast. A HSS pickup configuration on a robust sounding Alder body delivers all of the venerable, must-have sounds, while a coil tap switch on the bridge humbucker opens up additional versatility and tonal variation. Another custom feature of this guitar is a thicker, “Fat AZ Oval C” neck profile, helping to impart more tonal body and bottom end, which equates to a truly hybrid sound that splits the difference between a vintage and modern voice. Other highlights on this build include a nitrocellulose finish, stainless steel frets, and a Roasted Flamed Maple neck with a titanium truss rod and adjustment wheel at the neck joint. From top to bottom, this one-of-a-kind AZ is of the highest pedigree a player could ask for, infused with tones and timbres that promise to endure the ever-changing musical landscape.
