Ish Guitars bought the only 3 Paul Reed Smith guitars staying in America from the NAMM show booth (everything else in the booth was going to Japan). This happened to be 3 Private Stocks, all of which had woods that could not be shipped out of the USA.
2 of those 3 guitars sold straight out of the NAMM show, so this P22 is the ONLY guitar available in the USA from PRS's 2017 display. Its a very special piece.
The solid Brazilian Rosewood neck is incredibly gorgeous and has unrivaled tone and sustain. Adorned with Malachite inlays with mother of pearl outlines, this guitar has a very earthy look of browns and greens. Our favorite part of this guitar is the flamed maple plate at the neck heel, with Coopers Hawk inlay.
The P22 is essentially a Custom 22 with piezo pickups in the Gen 3 tremolo bridge. It has dual outputs and sounds incredibly similar to an acoustic when on the piezo setting.
