PRS S2 10th Anniversary McCarty 594 Dark Cherry Sunburst
DESCRIPTION
The S2 Series began in 2013 to provide players with the fit, feel, and attention to detail of PRS craftsmanship in a fresh, straightforward design. Since its introduction, the Series has grown from three models to more than a dozen options for players – one of the most recent introductions being the S2 McCarty 594. The 10th Anniversary S2 McCarty 594 has been specially appointed to celebrate the Series’ milestone occasion and to deliver more tone, more beauty, and more value than ever before.
The 10th Anniversary S2 McCarty 594 builds on the original specs of the S2 McCarty 594, retaining a maple top, mahogany back, 24.594” scale length, 22-fret Pattern Vintage neck, PRS two-piece bridge, and vintage-style tuners. Special appointments include: a Cuban mahogany neck, mother of pearl bird inlays, and – most notably – USA-made PRS 58/15 LT pickups and electronics. PRS 58/15 LT (“low turn”) pickups are vintage-inspired pickups with exceptional clarity. Designed to capture the sweetness of vintage single coils and the warmth of late 1950’s humbuckers and fine-tuned using the PRS TCI process, these pickups are lively and open with focused midrange and balanced treble and bass.
1,000 10th Anniversary S2 McCarty 594 Limited Edition instruments will be made.
Meaning “Stevensville 2,” the S2 Series was named for a second manufacturing line that was created inside the PRS Stevensville, Maryland shop that blended new manufacturing techniques with practiced quality control and workmanship to create instruments at a new price point for players. Over the last ten years, the S2 Series has grown to be more integrated into a single production line with PRS Core and Bolt-On instruments.
SETUP & INSPECTED BY OUR TECH TEAM
All of our guitars come with a FREE professional setup tailored to your individual tuning and string gauge preferences, if available. Our setups always include action, intonation, trem angle, and truss rod adjustments. If needed, we smooth out fret edges, address any nut or bridge shim issues, polish the frets, and condition the fingerboard. All work is completed by our experienced tech team who understand what today's players want from their instruments. If not otherwise requested our techs will setup each instrument to a comfortable medium/low action with minimal truss rod relief dependent on the instrument style. Please reach out after purchase if you have any specific requests about your setup.
INDIVIDUALLY PHOTOGRAPHED
After 15 years of innovation in our photography process, Ish Guitars has developed a way to get you the most accurate true-to-life color of every instrument we sell. We never embellish, oversaturate, or misrepresent our images so that your buying experience can be as much like visiting our showroom as possible. Keep in mind that various computer screens can show colors a bit differently, so the color on your screen may not match the real thing perfectly no matter how hard we try. Also, unless otherwise noted, we individually list and photo every piece of gear that comes through our doors.
