An amazing and super rare Rickenbacker Bantar from July of 1967 (serial number GG3362). They only made 50 of these instruments, some in Fireglo, some in Mapleglo, although no one knows how many of each, or how many are still in existence.
This specific Bantar looks to be the one featured in the famous "Rittor" Rickenbacker book (if you have the book, check out the grain, it matches exactly!). It is in extremely good condition for a 1967. The electronics work and sound great! There is one approx 4" long scratch in the back, and some very mild wear on the bottom edge near the input jack. The strings are very old, and the drone string tuning key is split on one side (cannot be seen in photos), an easy fix.
This is a major collectors instrument that will never be going down in value. One of the rarest Rickenbackers ever built! We actually sold this specific Bantar to Joe Bonamassa, then bought it back from him a few days ago since we had so much overwhelming interest in it. The previous owner we purchased it from bought the Bantar from Japan quite a few years ago, and has been in his climate-controlled collection since.
Includes original case, also in fantastic condition! This Bantar is in 9/10 condition overall.
Get this rare collectors item today - this will go quick and is one of the few true investable vintage instruments these days.
